The biggest mistakes I’ve made (and still make!) were always, when I hide my true, authentic self from people.

The moment we hold back who we really are, we fall into the illusion of control; of wanting to be seen a certain way.

But the more we try to hide who we really are, the more we will lose our freedom, our joy, and, unsurprisingly, ourselves.

We often desire to be seen in a positive light by others.

Have you ever noticed yourself trying to seem ….

perfect, smart, lovable, loyal, successful, confident, adventurous, compassionate, strong, charismatic, creative, reliable, wise, fun, inspiring, understanding, genuine, beautiful, courageous, empathetic, ambitious, thoughtful, humorous, passionate, supportive, trustworthy, patient, open-minded, resilient, graceful, innovative, kind, unique, grounded, honest, nurturing, driven, insightful, selfless, respectful, playful, dedicated, perceptive, balanced, resourceful, uplifting, bold, friendly, patient, sincere, and even, authentic itself,

…even though you didn’t authentically feel that way?
